What type of bird eats painted lady butterflies?

There are many species of birds that eat insects, including warblers, flycatchers, thrushes, and robins. Any of these birds would eat a painted lady if it had the chance to catch one, although certain birds like the flycatchers are especially adept at catching fast-flying insects out of the air (hence their name).
