No, Prince Albert (full name Francis Albert Augustus Charles Emmanuel; 26 August 1819 - 14 December 1861), the Prince Consort of Queen Victoria, was from the house of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.

The House of Hanover succeeded the Stuarts in 1714 when George I acceeded to the British throne, styling himself "George, by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, Defender of the Faith, etc." In some cases (especially in treaties), the formula "Duke of Bruswick-Lüneburg, Archtreasurer and Prince-Elector of the Holy Roman Empire" was added before the phrase "etc."

Prior to taking the throne, George I's title was His Most Serene Highness George Louis, Archbannerbearer of the Holy Roman Empire and Prince-Elector, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg.

The last member of the House of Hanover to to be monarch was Queen Victoria, whose accession to the British throne led to the break-up of personal union between the Kingdoms of Hanover and Great Britain. This was due to the fact that no female could acceed to the throne of Hanover and the title was handed to Victoria's uncle, the Duke of Cumberland.
