Are twilight characters believable

It depends. Some characters are believible due to their species such as the human characters in the series. As for the supernatural characters, no, there is no empirical evidence that such supernatural lifeforms exist on earth.

As for the actual characters, as in names and personalities, then yes. I have no doubt that some where in the world there is someone called Edward Cullen and someone called Isabella Swan.
