How Phoropter test?

A phoropter test is an eye examination used to determine an individual's prescription for corrective lenses. During the test, the patient looks through the phoropter, which contains various lenses, while the optometrist or ophthalmologist systematically changes the lenses to assess visual clarity. Patients are asked to indicate which lens options provide the clearest vision, helping to identify refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism. The results guide the creation of customized glasses or contact lens prescriptions.
