If you are in the UK and are British and are worried about a relative in Haiti you should contact the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on 020 7008 1500.

According to the US State Department, for missing US citizens and family members you should call 1 888 407 4747 from within the US or 202 501 4444 if you are outside the US.

For ALL nationalities, the US State Department provides a "person finder" function on their website.
