What do people use light for?

light has various uses aside from seeing in the dark. Light can be used for operations using lasers wich lessens the insition size and minimizes recovery time, it is used for combat purposes for guiding missiles into an specific location and it is used in communitcations transmiting data using light running through fiber optic.
