Juicy-fruited and sappy-leaved are the plants which stink bugs feed upon. The insects in question (Pentatomidae family) particularly favor applying their piercing-sucking mouthparts to the above-ground components of Apple, birch, butterfly bush, catalpa, citrus, dogwood, hackberry, pear, pecan, plum, redbud, and serviceberry shrubs/trees as well as of cucumber, grape, pepper, sunflower, and tomato plants.
