I had such a difficult time being able to figure this out when I first had the issue!! If you download videos from the iTunes Music Store, it is already formatted to mp4 and will upload onto your iPod once you sync. However, if you download from Limewire, BearShare, etc. the videos usually aren't formatted to mp4. All you need to do is download a converter [go to google & type in mp4 converter] & it will convert it for you. You download the movie on to your computer and then download it onto your ipod == == You need a DVD player in your computer (because DVDs are encoded), and you need a DVD-ripping program. These can be found by using google "+DVD +rip +program". Most programs will be free, but make sure you download the right one for your operating system.
