What is different about the book and movie of 'A Christmas Carol'?

A Christmas Carol has been made into so many different movies in so many different interpretations (one even has a female Scrooge) that it's impossible to compare the book without first watching a specific, named movie. Most movies, however, are pretty faithful to the story.
