Beautiful in Leyte language is mahusay (for northeastern leyte),and gwapa (for western leyte.) There are two languages spoken in Leyte. The northeastern part of the province which faces Samar, speaks Samareno,(officially known as Leyte-Samarnon and popularly known as Waray), while the western section, which faces Cebu, speaks Cebuano.
