How long does it take a dogs nail to stop bleeding?

Why is the dogs nail bleeding? If its alot of bleeding go to the vet ASAP. If you trimmed the nails and cut the quik that why you are getting the bleeding, do you have one of those syptic pencils men use for shaving cuts? you could apply that, or file some of it off to make a powder and dip the nail in that. Old fashioned remedy is to dip nail in flour. If the nail has been ripped badly you need to go to the vet. No pet can lose alot of blood, so please call your vet.
