Some cockroach species protect their young for up to a few months after they are born, such as a northern Thailand species called Perisphaerus semilunatus - the nymphs cling to their mother's underside for a month or more. But for the most part, the nymphs only stay with the mother for a short while until they scatter and go their own separate ways.
