How does a budgie protect itself from danger?

In its native state, budgies travel in huge flocks. This provides some protection. Also, budgies fly very erratically, rather than smoothly like some birds do. Their zig-zagging flight confuses their enemies, such as the Australian Hobby, or Little Falcon.
