Where did Anne of Green Gables live before pei?

Before moving to Prince Edward Island, Anne Shirley lived in various orphanages and foster homes in Nova Scotia. After the death of her parents, she experienced a tumultuous childhood, often feeling lonely and unwanted. Her life changed when she was sent to live with Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert at Green Gables in Avonlea. This transition marked the beginning of her new life and adventures on PEI.
