Do Barn Owls eat grain

If any of the owlets die they become food and could be consumed by the adults or the other owlets. There isn't any literature that really confirms that barn owls ever kill their own chicks to eat them. A very weak chick could potentially be mistaken for prey by the other owlets and then eaten.
