Do great white sharks come close to shore?

Yes and no. In some places yes. It depends on the area. Some sharks are famous which is another thing, it depends on the type of shark. One time a kid was ankle deep in water and shark came up to him. I wouldn't be worried. A shark attack happens like 10 times a year and most of them are never fatal.
