In art what is the difference between shine and reflection?

easy. shine is when a light is falling on something. so there would be shadowing involved. for example, if the sun was shining on one side of a box then the other three sides would be shaded because the light would not be hitting it. reflection is when an image is produced that is the same as another. an example is someone looking into a mirror, their face is reflected. or when trees and mountains are reflected on the water.
