The 'going rate' right now is from $5500 to $8500 for a baby. Buying an older on is cheaper but if you don't have any experience with adults it is a bad idea, especially if there are children in the home. A capuchin normally doesn't weight more than 7 lbs or so but they are very strong and can cause alot of damage with their teeth and fingernails. Getting a monkey right now is not a good idea as I was enlightened to the fact that there are now 20 states that do not allow them as pets.
