What were the provisions of slave trade compromise?

The Slave Trade Compromise, part of the U.S. Constitution, allowed the importation of enslaved people to continue until 1808, after which Congress could prohibit it. Additionally, it stipulated that enslaved individuals would be counted as three-fifths of a person for purposes of taxation and representation in Congress.
