Is there and explanation to why I have been passing black blood clots and bleeding constantly I put my patch on on time last month and have been bleeding 24 days now light darketc.?

I have the IUD put in, and after about a month I started bleeding dark blood clots and bleed for 18 days, I went to the doc and she said it was just my body reacting to the IUD My friend also had the same thing happen to her. I would take the patch off and be safe ( where protection) and see if it stops bleeding, if not see your doc who gives you the patch. Good LUCK
