You have to mark the direction that the rotor button is pointing in and then remove the distributor from the engine. Now you remove the roll pin that is holding the bottom gear on the shaft with a punch and remove the gear.Then slide the shaft out of the distributor housing. Now look at the top of the pick-up coil and you will see a SMALL round THIN clip holding the pick-up to the housing remove it being VERY CAREFULL NOT TO BEND IT UP. Then install new pick-up. And put it back together. The gear will ONLY go back on 1 way allowing the roll pin to go back in. NOTE It is very wise to REPLACE the ignition module TOO. They both work together. Be sure to set the engine timing wen done.
