Why do people disrespect short people?

Anyway, I would guess some people might disrespect short people because they can't take them seriously. Or, as the previous poster so immaturely suggested, taller people might be "jealous or that they feel that they have a reign over you because they are taller and feel more impowered [sic]". I don't see many people disrespecting shorter people, however.
