How do you reset the maintenance message on 2006 Volvo V70?

To reset the maintenance message on a 2006 Volvo V70, turn the ignition key to the "II" position (just before starting the engine). Press and hold the trip odometer reset button on the dashboard, then turn the ignition off. While keeping the button pressed, turn the ignition back to the "II" position again until the maintenance message disappears, then release the button. The maintenance light should now be reset.
