The current, 35th President of Brazil is Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva [b. October 27, 1945]. He's with the Partido dos Trabalhadores ['Workers' Party']. He was elected in 2002 for the 2003-2006 term and then re-elected in 2006 for the 2007-2010 term.
Brazil no longer has a prime minister. The position of Prime Minister existed while Brazil was an empire, 1847-1889. The position was revived briefly from September 1961 to January 1963. The last Prime Minister was Hermes Lima [December 22, 1902-October 10, 1978], from September 18, 1962 to January 1, 1963.
