In Guernsey if a 16 year old boy gets his 12 year old girlfriend gregnant what are the charges he will get and can he go to prison for it?

Guernsey is under the jurisdiction of Great Britain so will have similar rules and laws. It is illegal to have sexual relations with a minor and a very serious offence. If caught he will be punished but the court will decide what that punishment will be. The social services will be informed by the police and a child protection officer will get involved. It is an imprisonable offence but as the boy is so young himself it is just possible he will not be sent there. There will be a lot to sort out so I hope this has not happened. I hope he realises this is very wrong and the pair of them stop having sex immediatley.
