In some instances, logging can be habitat destruction but it can also create habitat. Farming activities -plowing, tilling can cause habitat destruction while in some cases provide it. It depends on the species, its life history and resource needs.

Other examples could be: development, road and bridge construction. Oil and gas exploration and development. Recreational use -hiking, boating, fishing. Development of new recreation sites.
