Did anyone see a ghost

The existence of ghosts is a controversial topic. Many people do believe they exist, and that they have even seen them. Others feel that they are entirely fictional. Of those that do believe they have seen them, it is very difficult for them to prove. Even those that think to take a picture, the pictures do not ever seem to really show much to actually substantiate the ghost was there.

There are mentions of ghosts in sources that many would find trustworthy, depending on their beliefs.

The Bible: In 1 Samuel 28, Saul had Samuel's ghost summoned, and they talked. However, this was an exception. Overall, it speaks of souls not returning.

The Quran: The Quran speaks of Jinn being on earth, but it believes that ghosts (the souls of the dead) are being held back until resurrection day.

Hinduism: Ghosts (bhoot) are believed to be real in Hinduism. This is part of why they cremate the bodies. It is believed to prevent a ghost from returning. When a person is acting lusty or has an addiction, it is sometimes believed they have a hungry ghost in them.

Buddhism: Ghosts are heavily figured in Buddhism and the circle of reincarnation. There are even ritual daggers and other equipment to help a ghost leave to where they belong.
