How can sticky rubber products be treated?

To clean stickiness from rubber products, you could:

• try freezing the item, then gently 'scratching' the sticky area with your fingernail to remove it.
• turn the item to an unseen area, and try plain denatured alcohol (drug store) on a paper towel or cotton ball --- just a little ! Then, use a cleaner made for rubber products to keep the rubber supple (softened).
