What do Iraqi women wear?

Iraqi women who are Muslim wear clothes that do not show off their skin which quite varies within age groups as well. Non-Muslim women prefer regular Western dress up.

The dress style also depends on the individual's family background weather how religious the lady is or her family. Iraqi women have a natural tendency to follow their mother in dress traditions. It is uncommon for women to have issues with their families in this regard because society ranks people different in an Islamic society as compared to European nations and the Muslim women do not have to go all the way out of their dressing style to in order to be prominent among others. Middle aged women start wearing black more often out of modesty or either that their husbands or fathers have passed away. There are also some misconceptions due to how media portrays the dressing issues in Islamic societies.
