The division between Eastern and Western hemispheres occurs at longitude 0° - the prime meridian and 180° - running roughly through the Berring Strait and the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Asia lies entirely east of 0° and almost entirely west of 180° (a small part of the easternmost part of Russia crossed that longitude).
In terms of how the world is referred to - Asia is usually referred to as the "East" and Europe and the Americas as the "West". Africa kind of gets ignored.
