How did differences between conservative and liberal goals lead to conflict in Europe?

Liberals:

-freedom of press, thought,speech, and religion.

-constitutional government

-separation of powers

-natural rights

Conservatives:

-wanted to go back to 1789

-support a social hierarchy

-no natural rights

-no constitutional government

-an established church

-opposed freedom of press

These two ideologies clashed for many reasons. They had no compromise and alongside the liberals were nationalists. Their clashing led to revolts and fights which would later cause outbreaks that lead to the independence of many countries known today.
