What do police officers wear?

What an officer wears changes a great deal depending on their department and assignment.

A regular uniformed police officer would generally wear something like this:

• Issued button up shirt
• Issued slacks, shorts, or skirt
• Issued hat (not always required)
• Approved black leather boots or shoes
• Tactical / bulletproof vest
• Duty belt
• Flashlight
• Radio
• Firearm
• Handcuffs
• Badge
