Pretty much all Vauxhalls have the same method to extract the ignition barrel.

). Remove all screws from the plastic cowling
). Turn the steering wheel to reveal the last two screws hidden behind the wheel
). If you have adjustable steering, you will need to unscrew the adjuster
). You will now see the ignition barrel exposed.
). Carefully slip off the black plastic ring around the end of the barrel (Ignition transponder/immobiliser)
). If you look alongside the left outer side of the ignition barrel housing, you will see a tiny hole.
). Put key in ignition
). Push a piece of metal into that hole, and turn key to position 2
). You might have to giggle the key and the piece of metal, but eventually the barrel will pop and you can pull it out.
