Can my United States GPS system be used in the country of France?

Although it may not be immediately able to guild you around France, it is indeed possible to find GPS software with French maps that you can install onto your American GPS. I would check though, if your GPS isn't already equipped with French maps before buying anything, as it is entirely conceivable that the maps necessary to navigate France are already on it.
