To properly use a bicycle pump with a presta valve, first unscrew the valve cap and loosen the nut at the top of the valve. Next, attach the pump nozzle securely to the valve. Pump air into the tire until it reaches the desired pressure, then remove the pump nozzle and tighten the nut on the valve. Finally, replace the valve cap.
