How do you check the transaxle fluid in a 1978 Porsche?

Since these are basically a VW transmission, it's the same procedure.

You use a 17mm hex drive socket, and remove the fill plug on the side of the transmission.

The fluid should be level with the bottom of the opening. Use your finger to see if it's low. You fill the fluid in the same opening.

You remove the drain plug on the bottom to change it.
