Is this a good speech for student council presiddent?

Good morning,

My name is ___ and I am here today to ask for your consideration as our Freshman Class Pres. I am excited about the opportunity to be President of the Freshman Class because even though we are the low man on the totem pole, we Freshman are a meaningful part of the st. rose community. I feel that I possess the character traits necessary to be a successful leader to the Freshman Student Council. As you may already know, I have a loud voice that I am not afraid to use for the benefit of our class. I am organized and hardworking and will give my very best effort to represent, lead and unite our Class of 2014.

As President I hope to grow closer to you, my classmates. I will encourage all of us to take advantage of the many activities and clubs St. Rose has to offer. If I am elected, I will work with my fellow officers to create unique fundraisers and service projects that everyone can enjoy and participate in. Naturally, I wanna have more dances through out our school year! I will lead every meeting and assembly with confidence and will set new goals for our Freshman class. I want to do everything in my power to strengthen the bond between our class, and the rest of our school and get the Class of 2014 off to a great start.
