When you try to open up the NBA 2K9 game on your PC it gives you a black screen?

This game requires a higher-end graphics card. Unless your graphics card supports shader model 3.0, you will not even be able to load up the introduction and opening menus of the game. You will get a black screen but might be able to hear the music.

The only way to solve this is get a newer graphics card.
