I wouldn't recommend becoming a doctor if you're after an early retirement, as it's eight years of training and usually several more years just to pay off your loans. When a doctor can retire also depends on a lot of other things like level of training, how many hours they work, how respected they are, and how long they've been in the practice. Medical training is also very exhausting, as you will frequently be up 24 hours or more at once. You have to study, work shifts, and do whatever else you have to do to take care of yourself. It's exhausting, but it's rewarding if that's what you really, really want to do.
