Hook up xBox to Netflix without xbox live gold?

The XBox360 Netflix interface is only available to Live Gold members, and the same holds for the XBox360 Hulu+ interface.

It is possible to view Netflix and Hulu+ (and a whole raft of other services) on the XBox360 without a Gold subscription, by streaming the content from a PC with PlayOn installed. This requires a licensed copy of PlayOn, and that the PC is on when you want to watch, however. Playon also has a rather more spartan user interface, as it works through the standard Video Sharing feature of the XBox360.

Personally, I'll take the drawbacks just so I don't have to subscribe to Gold, and for the additional content available through Playon (everything from Comedy Central to sports to PBS - and YouTube of course)
