Normally, marriages between the Sagothras (meaning same gothras

  • i.e., with a person having a brother/sister, cousin

brother/sister relationship) are not allowed as per sastras. If that happens then there would be no difference between a man with the sixth sense and animals without the sixth sense. This is mainly to allow cross breeding system wherein the descendant children will be more healthy / intelligent without any born defects. If these defects happens to a child, then unknowingly about their sahothram they would have married. Scientifically, marrying in a different gothra person (i.e., other than their own gotra) is always good and it has been proved. Even a person marrying the sister's daughter is also not advisable(this is done in some castes to avoid the property being distributed within the family and to avoid the property distribution if married to other gothra man).

Therefore, in the case of the girl being from Suparnasa gothra and the boy being from Kashyapa gothra - marrying is advisable and there is no harm.
