Why do you need to network computer?

Networking a computer is not necessary if you aren't looking to view or share information.

However it is very useful for printer/internet sharing, remote backing up, communication with email, social networking, VOIP (like Skype) and to load on the latest updates for your machine to make it run faster and be more secure.
