How many gulf streams are there?

There is one Gulf Stream, which is a powerful and warm ocean current originating in the Gulf of Mexico and flowing along the eastern coast of the United States before heading across the Atlantic Ocean. It is part of a larger system of currents known as the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC). While there are many other ocean currents around the world, the term "Gulf Stream" specifically refers to this singular current.
