quality of living, when the expense of salvaging an animal through medical

means is not affordable, and often when an animal has shown aggression and is deemed intractable.

Humane euthanasia of humans is also legal in some countries.

Euthanasia can be acheived using many methods, chemical (pentabarbital), asphyxia (suffocation), mechanical (dead bolt or bullet) are basic examples.
