I had this problem on a few (not all) channels and found a couple of solutions:
1) Try a Foxtel set top unit (STU) reboot - this fixed some of the problem channels.
2) Try a power reset - did not seem to do anything but seemed like a good idea.
3) Check your Foxtel cable wiring - this fixed all my other problem channels.
Set Top Unit Reboot
On my STU I had to simultaneously hold down then release the Back and Select buttons on the set top unit. All the STU lights can on then shortly only the Power On light remained. (Your STU may have a different reboot mechanism.)
Power Reset
Turn off your STU using the remote then unplug it from the mains. Leave it off at least 10 seconds or more then plug it back in. You may also want to remove and re-insert the smart card just to make sure the chip contacts are 'good'.
STU Cable Wiring
To be safe you may want to do this with the STU unplugged from the mains power. Essentially just verify that all the Foxtel cable connections are well 'set'. Try dis-connecting the cable and reconnecting. Do this for both ends of the cable between the wall and STU. If applicable, also any other connections back through to where the Foxtel cable enters the premises. (Also if you have more than one Foxtel STU, you can try swapping the STUs and/or cables around to try pin-pointing the problem.)
