For women, department stores or specialty shape wear or underwear/lingerie stores are a good bet (think Victoria's Secret, or Sears, or Boscovs). For men, only a few options exist for compression shirts or underpants, but they are not usually bought for their slimming effects (they are marketed more for increased sports performance).
