What is the definition of tunic?

A tunic is a medieval outer garment that is somewhat like a long shirt that goes past the waist and is belted. It goes from your shoulder to somewhere between the hips and ankles and it was worn by ancient Greeks or Romans.

The tunics are worn by men and women both. It is categorized into three: - roman tunics, medieval tunics, modern tunic, 19th century tunic and Greek tunic.
