Most certainly, since the whole scripture is in a sense God's self-revelation simultaneously as being the Words of man. The Bible reveals a great deal about God's character and dealings with people, particularly the Israelites. Jesus Christ inaugurated the New Covenant referred to in the Old Testament - He Himself being God. The fact that He walked for over 30 years among us indicates His desire for us to know Him. There are many passages which indicate that God wants us not just to know facts about Him but to actually know Him personally.

6Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I am the LORD your God. This verse refers to God's provisions for the Israelites in the wilderness. 7And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart. 38But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. 3And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
