Who was Yahweh in The Bible?

Jehovah is the true God of The Bible, the Creator of all things. Revelation 11:4 mentions, “You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they came into existence and were created.” Jehovah is God’s unique name as revealed in the Bible. Psalm 83:18, "May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth."

The name comes from a Hebrew verb that means “to become,” The name Jehovah is an English translation of the Hebrew name for God​—the four letters יהוה (YHWH), known as the Tetragrammaton.
