What is to break bread?

Although breaking bread has perhaps the most influence from the expression in The Bible, many like to refer it to the sharing of food among friends. In our fast paced lifestyle we don't take the time to sit down to eat and talk, it's more grab and go. Inviting friends over for a meal or the gathering on weekends for a pot luck has allowed many families to keep in touch but what's most important is often there is open and honest conversation during these times and that is something we have almost forgotten how to do. Breaking bread is about sharing food, memories and laughter with those that are dear and near so celebrate and enjoy.
